Purpose

The purpose of this website  is to bring to the public relevant information based on the actions of the office of Mayor of Hardy and the City Council. It will cover the information that is vital for all individuals. Additionally we will have commentary and opinions about these actions that may or may not agree with your own views. However you will also be able to comment with your personal views too!

It doesn’t matter who is in office, it just matters that the person in charge of our city is doing as good a job as possible and willing to recognize that at times change is important. Those that ask questions are made to look like they are instigators just because they have questioned those actions.

There are people that are watching, whether it’s a prosecutor, city councilman, or even the voters in their district that elect them, there are people that watch every action they take and they will be held accountable. -Crittenden County Deputy Prosecutor

By reporting on the achievements and planning done by our city and the Mayor we all hopefully will gain better knowledge of the importance of the job and the effects it has on all of the citizens of Hardy. The city should not think that can operate behind closed doors or improperly run the city outside of the rules and regulations required for meetings etc.

Remember,  if you the CITIZENS do not take the time to get involved and attend City Council Meetings and other important open board meetings such as A & P then you are just as responsible at allowing poor judgements and actions to take place. A open government is only good if its citizens keep them in check! We started checking and we are now called out by the Mayor in a open letter as instigators, we find that insulting and a way to try to blame anyone else for any problems of the City and its economy other than recognizing that they themselves are just as much part of the problem by ignoring the citizens and other individuals that oversee boards etc.

The Freedom of Information Act should be administered with a clear presumption: In the face of doubt, openness prevails. The Government should not keep information confidential merely because public officials might be embarrassed by disclosure, because errors and failures might be revealed, or because of speculative or abstract fears. Nondisclosure should never be based on an effort to protect the personal interests of Government officials at the expense of those they are supposed to serve. – BARACK OBAMA

Working together in unity we can achieve greatness, but currently this is not the case.

This day and forward this site is dedicated to both the vigilant scrutinizing of our local government for and the ongoing education of our fellow citizens about instances of corruption, waste, nepotism, ethics violations and etc.
